2010 Calendar

I made a calendar for next year already. I plan to make more, so this was kinda my practice one. Pay no attention to the crookedness. I had to cut everything by hand. I went to use my cricut and it will not turn on at all! It worked fine last time I used it, which was weeks ago. I am hoping it just needs a new power cord ($25-30 bucks), otherwise I may be cricutless for now on.

Purple is my fav! I used cereal boxes for my chipboard, and covered it with purple cardstock, matted with purple digital paper and the calendar. The 2010 Calendar stamps came from HERE. I used a steak knife to ruff up the edges and then inked them. Added some ribbon. I plan to add some ribbon or something to the front yet... I do not have a bind it all, so I used the binding machine I have.

Thanks for stoppin' in & looking. Pin It

Out of this world Layout

The sketch is from Scrapsketch.

This is where I have been all month...Getting addicted to digital scrapbooking. It is so easy, fast, fun and oh so addicting. There are tons of free kits to use!

I have been only doing cards and craft projects for awhile now. I have made maybe 3 layouts since my son was born, which has been almost 4 years now. I think I have found a new way to get those layouts done and maybe even try some hybrid scrapbooking.

I am not sure if I will put all the layouts I do, here on my blog.

Everything used here was from free kits I downloaded from the internet. Pin It

Old Projects

Here are some things I made back before the Cricut was heard of. A diaper cake (for a girl). There are tiny bottles on the cake and a giant pacifier on top.

Baby shower invitations (for a boy). The tags pulled out with all the info. on them.

Looking back, they are a bit plain...

Cake in a box

Made this for my step sisters birthday. Thank you to the following people for sharing their wonderful files!! I used JenC.'s 3D shoe. The cake file is from Maureen Wong.

I scraplifted the project from Patti Lee from Creations by Patti. Paper is from the All Dressed Up Stack by DCWV. Flowers on the shoes and cake are from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, I added stickles and glitter glue. They look a lot prettier in person. Happy Birthday and Dakota were both cut with Scal.

It was really pretty simple and fun to make, with unlimited possibility's and I think it turned awesome! I plan on making more! Pin It

Patriotic Bouquet/Centerpiece

I made this bouquet for the 4th of July. Thanks to MarleneO for the idea and cut file. The bag is cut tall ball from Plantin Schoolbook. I didn't have any paper to go with it really, so I just used the white side of the chipboard, and went with that. I inked the edges with red and blue, I know my red looks pink on here. I pop dotted the center stars to make them stand out a little more. (I fixed the crookedness of it,after the photo was taken. As I sit and look at the photos I always see things that need fixed, etc.)

What do you think too much, did I go a little crazy or do we like it?? Should I have added something else? Well, thanks for looking. Pin It

Survival Kits

I made Fisherman's Survival kits for Father's Day. I was gonna decorate the boxes up to look more like tackle boxes but then decided that I just liked them how they were. The Box file came from Melinda at All Things Crafty and Delicious. Thank you Melinda for sharing. My first one didn't turn out the greatest, the brown one came out much better. The inside had all the goodies listed for the kit and I also included a fishing poem on the inside top of the box. The guys really liked them! Pin It

10 Things I love about u - Tag Book

Tags were cut with George. I used cereal boxes for my chipboard.. I added little hearts with numbers on them for each journalling spot. I inked the edges and added some glitter glue to them as well. It will make a special little book once someone adds their journalling to it!

Idea came from bstaarswife over at the Cricut message board. I feel like I kinda rushed to get mine done. I think it turned out alright though. I still like hers a whole lot better. May have to try again later... Pin It

Paper Roses

I made a few bouquets of paper roses to give away on Mother's Day. They were cut using the Sure Cuts a lot program. I used Susanbluerobots directions and scut file. Thank you Susan!

They were really pretty simple, the hardest ones for me are the smallest 2 petals. Every time I make one it comes out different, but hey that's how flowers are. Right? I used vases for some and pails for some. I used skewers with green floral tape for the stems. I done both plain roses and some with a little pizazz. I think I like the ones with glitter glue and inked edges the best. The photos really don't do them justice. They turned out really pretty. (most of 'em anyways) For the centers if there was a really big gap, I put in small pearls. My favorite is the orange! Pin It

Easter treats

Made these for my 3 year old son to give out to a few kids. I cut the fry boxes with scal using the boxes font. They were all different sizes, cause I was playing around with scal. Embossed using cuddlebug folders, chick and bunny are from Stretch your imagination cartridge. Happy Easter was cut with Sure Cuts A Lot. Used the MS edge punch that was RAK'd to me on the top of the middle box. I am not very good at tying bows around things...My son picked out the candy and filled the boxes with the paper grass. He enjoyed it!!
