I made this junk journal for Barbara in a journal swap on swap-bot earlier this year. I used the twine binding method for the first time. 

Here is the cover and just some of the many pages inside. 

I love making these journals. I should really make more!

Dress Form

I've been trying to clean up my computer and get pictures off and where they need to be. There are projects that I've made in the past and haven't made it here to my blog for whatever reason. I'm going to start posting these old projects along with some new. Starting with this dress form I created way back when with a glass candle holder for the base. I used a wonderful tutorial by the talented Itza Gomez.

Here is the finished dress form. The dress and scarf I made from scrap orange material. Underneath is orange lace and black tulle. 

This is LOTS of hand cut carboard wrapped with masking tape and some added paper mache.

I added a bit of tissue paper that I stamped on. Later I inked it up to give it color.

The wings I cut (metal tape on cardstock) with Tim Holtz die and dry embossed. Painted & distressed.

The glass candle holder I used for my base.

Here it is painted & distressed.

I painted a dresser pull knob to match the base.

This came out to be a nice size.

It measures around 15.5 inches tall & about 12.5 inches wide with the wings.

Here are 5 Artist Trading Cards I made awhile back. 

Seaside has masking tape background that's been painted and stamped.

Dream started out as a gelli print as the background. 

Tea Time was stenciled, painted,ink and heat embossed.

Create is a painted background with some stamping along the edges. I used a lid with painted edges to make the white circle.

This dream butterfly atc background was made with distress paints/inks and stencils. Additional paint splatter was added.

Altered Mona Lisa ATC

I added wings and glasses from digital kits over at Mischief Circus. 

Drew her a necklace and gave her lipstick.

Added gold heat embossing around the edges.

Here I made 1 big collage masterboard and then cut it into 4 individual postcards.

 I forgot to take the picture before I cut them apart but you still get the idea with this picture.

Faux Watercolor Rainbow Effect - Mail Art Postcard

For these two mail art postcards I used a faux watercolor rainbow effect for the hair.

Faux watercolor technique is where you use markers and water to give a watercolor effect.
