For my first post of the new year is this fun mixed media postcard I made. There are several layers of papers, paints, stamps, etc. It started off to be collage but then I got carried away and it became mixed media. I do like how it turned out. Pin It

License Plate Sign

I made this hanging sign back in May, using a license plate stamp on cardboard and connecting them together with chain. The background was colored using distress inks. The wording was a font I cut using my Silhouette Cameo machine. Heat embossed around the edges of each license plate.

Baby Onesies

I have some things I've created this past year that for whatever reason didn't make it onto my blog. I'm gonna try to catch it up...

I made these onesies back in March as gifts for my cousins baby shower. I used my Silhouette Cameo machine and cut the heat transfer vinyl and then heat pressed them on.

Altered text ATC

These ATC's were done using book pages. You pick certain words or phrases to highlight and only use 1 color. Heat embossing is my favorite thing these days so I added it to these cards.

This is a fun ATC I made. 

Everything was cut and paste from a magazine. 

I heat embossed around the edges.

Gelli Print ATC's

I used a couple prints I made using my Gelli Plate for the background on these two ATC's. 

Finished them off with stamped images.

The heart with bird is a Silhouette file.

I used lots of embossing powder and a Gelli plate print for the background.

Altered Playing Cards - Aces

My first time altering playing cards. Similar to doing ATC's but you should leave at least one corner to show that it is indeed a playing card.

Quotes and ATC's

Here I used the spin and splash alcohol ink technique for the background. 

Added this fun quote and some skittles for a finished atc.

 This ATC was done using a technique I saw on youtube where you put alcohol ink in water then swipe your paper through it. I then used an embossing folder for the squares.

 Added the quote and other embellishments.

Alcohol Ink ATC's

These two ATC's were made using alcohol inks on glossy paper.

I have never played much with alcohol inks and found it to be kind of challenging.

I do like the end results and think I

 just need to experiment with them some more.

How to Draw Really Good - ATC's

I made these two ATC's following a video on YouTube called "How to Draw Really Good" by Oliver Age 24. I found the videos really funny and have had several family members give it go as well! 

He has several characters that you can pick from to draw.

More Gelli Print Postcards

Here are a few more postcards I made using my Gelli Plate!! 

The first one was done using a Tim Holtz - on the edge - Townscape die, I had cut out with acetate. It didn't come out perfect but I thought it was still kinda cool!

 This next one I used stencils for the background 

and then used paper cut outs from magazines to finish it off.

 Same with this one, 

stencils on the Gelli Plate for background, 

magazine cut outs on top with a little stamping too! 

So fun!!

Gelli print envelopes

I used my gelli plate to make the backgrounds on these envelopes I sent out for mail art. 

Just added some stamping on top!

Gelli Print Postcards

I love my gelli plate! I made the background for these postcards with it. It's so fun and you just keep going and going and you have so much made in just a little bit of time. So fun playing. I then heat embossed some Tim Holtz stamps on top! Sent one to Russia and the other to Germany.
