Hand drawn ATC

I hand drew this face from a picture in a book a long while back. It's one of those where you flip it over and it makes another face. The background was made using a stencil.

Blind draw faces - ATC's

Here are more blind draw artist trading cards. I made these for a swap in the past. We were to draw just the faces without looking and then finish the background & their bodies however we wish.

I've got my EYE on you ATC

I am back with another one of my 'eye' ATC's I made. This one turned out really cool too.

I couldn't even bring myself to trade this one off, I like it so much.

It's crumpled tissue paper with lots of paint and embossing powder around the eye. The eye came from a kit at Mischief Circus (formerly known as Deviant Scraps.) I used this eye on a similar ATC if you want to check it out, HERE is the link to my blog post. Pin It

Shattered Dream ATC

Hello.
Here is an ATC that began with a gelli print background that I machine stitched. I added my words and butterfly. I used UTEE over the entire card and then broke it. I added heat embossing and staples.

'Eye' Exist heat embossed ATC

Happy Friday everyone! I'm back today with a couple artist trading cards that I made in the past and never posted to my blog. I have blogged about a similar ATC I done here before. You can see my original one here

The same techniques were used as in my first one. It's hard to see the depth of the eye, but the cards do have some dimension. I used tissue paper and lots of heat embossing.

Spread your wings and fly - Art Journal Spread

A while back I had the chance to play in this round robin art journal from Swap-Bot. It was my first time participating in a round robin journal. I must say, it is really fun!

For my background, I used lots of layers by adding stamping, textures, inks and paints. There's even some torn book page underneath it all.

Here are the finished pages.
Words, butterflies and washi tape were added.
Charcoal pencil outlining
Sprayed with a sealer.

This journal belongs to Ellie Patterson.

Blind Draw Faces ATC's

A swap over on atcsforall.com, we were to draw the faces without looking and then finish them up however we like.

Here are mine.

I made a family with a Pipe Smokin' Grandfather, Super Dad, Shopping Mom and their selfie taking teenagers showing off their bods and trying to show how cool they are.

A couple extras

Blind draws are a lot of fun to do.

Junk Journal

I made this junk journal for Barbara in a journal swap on swap-bot earlier this year. I used the twine binding method for the first time.

Here is the cover and just some of the many pages inside.

I love making these journals. I should really make more!

Dress Form

I've been trying to clean up my computer and get pictures off and where they need to be. There are projects that I've made in the past and haven't made it here to my blog for whatever reason. I'm going to start posting these old projects along with some new. Starting with this dress form I created way back when with a glass candle holder for the base. I used a wonderful tutorial by the talented Itza Gomez.

Here is the finished dress form. The dress and scarf I made from scrap orange material. Underneath is orange lace and black tulle.

This is LOTS of hand cut carboard wrapped with masking tape and some added paper mache.
I added a bit of tissue paper that I stamped on. Later I inked it up to give it color.

The wings I cut (metal tape on cardstock) with Tim Holtz die and dry embossed. Painted & distressed.

The glass candle holder I used for my base.

Here it is painted & distressed.

I painted a dresser pull knob to match the base.

This came out to be a nice size.
It measures around 15.5 inches tall & about 12.5 inches wide with the wings.
