June Creative Dare

I've been hanging out with Tracy Weinzapfel on Monday nights via Ustream. Every Monday night she goes Live on Ustream and creates a project on canvas or in her art journal. Everyone is welcome to come be a part of it and it is free! She has even made a facebook group for it called Monday Nights LIVE with Tracy Weinzapfel Studios.

Tracy is doing creative dares (challenges) on her blog too. The creative dare for June is to make something using this quote

"Let go of whatever holds you back and no longer serves you because you only get one shot in life" ~ Unknown

So here is my project using the quote. It's the first time I've done something like this so it's not that spectacular but it was fun creating and that is what it is all about!!

Altered notebook

This is another little notebook from the Dollar Store that I recently altered. I covered the covers inside and out with paper. Added some lace along with some positive sayings from Tim Holtz stamps.

Graduation Bouquets

Here are a couple bouquets I made for Graduation earlier this month. One I used dollar bills and the other I used a silhouette file of a graduation cap.

Teacher Appreciation Gift

My 6 year old son made this (with my help) for his Kindergarten teacher. We used one of those clear picture frames as the base. Put chosen paper in the frame where the picture normally goes. Added some diecuts and stickles to glam them up. He finished it off by writing her a thank you note. Pin It

Photo Cube

I made this steampunkish photo cube for my swap partner. It started out as a 5" cube of styrofoam. I covered the cube with paper from DCWV Tattered Time collection and then started adding my embellishments. I used lots of different things; charms, brads, tacks, old key, old watch, images printed from online, gears, lace trim, stick pin, doily, chain, buttons and more. On the bottom, I used screws for legs. The top has an old fork to hold a photo. I had a lot of fun with this, adding all the different things to each side.

I really loved how this came out! It may even be my best project thus far :)
